In this post I’m going to run through the concept illustration process for the upcoming Hades design.
As many of you know, I’ve been working hard on the follow-up to last year’s Gods & Goddesses series that took Seventh.Ink fans by storm.
Posted up some new images of the Seventh.Ink screen printed posters today, I think the originals of just the designs weren’t giving people the proper sense of scale for these. All of my prints are screen printed on French paper and are signed/numbered.
Here are some detailed shots of the Fifth Anniversary 9×12 Print, which features four screen printed art prints that were done with gray and metallic gold ink on black French paper. This set commemorates five years of Seventh.Ink.
Each print is signed and numbered, and the sets ship together.
Thought it would be fun to post some of the creation process pics for the Devilish Mini Munny.
This is a Glow-In-The-Dark Mini Munny that was painted with acrylics and has sculpted horns. I usually don’t sculpt things, but this guy turned out well so I may do more with that in the future.
I made a behind the scenes video of the illustration process for the Warmed By Winter design, which is available on lemon and light blue American Apparel shirts.
I worked in Illustrator at the beginning of this piece, and then I brought it into Photoshop for the second half to place the fine details and the colors.
It’s wild for me to think that I’ve been running Seventh.Ink for five full years now. I don’t know exactly when, but at some point it all became a part of my every day routine to fill orders, work on new product ideas, and promote them.
