New Site Design – Seventh.Ink V4
If you’ve been on the site in the last week you will have noticed the updated look that I put together recently. This new design, aptly titled “Version 4″, is a culmination of ideas that I’ve been jotting down for over a year now. Although the last site design hit the mark for me last year, a few changes in the way Seventh.Ink operates have made V4 a much better option for both myself and Seventh.Ink customers alike.
First, you’ll notice that there are no people in any of the product photographs. I’ve been toying with this idea for two years now, and finally decided that this was the way to go for now. One of the main reasons is that running the company by myself gives little spare time for photo shoots and editing photos from said shoots, so I am going to go strictly with product images for a while. There will be the occasional detail shot in there, but the product images are also big enough that you can really see the detail in them as they are.
Secondly, you’ll notice that the site overall runs a lot faster than the last iteration. I took out a ton of extra background features and streamlined everything to make for a quick and awesome user experience.
I’m still working on updating some of the pages such as the Free Stuff page and the Press page, so keep your eyes open for those updates soon. I’m also hoping to finally get the Summer 2010 Lookbook up for you to enjoy.
So, I’d love to hear your thoughts on the new design! Also, I would like to hear if you find any bugs around the site that need to be taken care of. Leave your comments below, and enjoy the new design!
Haunted Collection 2 Full Preview
It’s finally here! In just 7 days, Haunted Collection 2 will be available for the world to enjoy. I’ve invested a lot of time to make this a fantastic series that you will truly enjoy.
Full preview photos are below, and here is what you can expect from this set:
- 3 new designs (Midnight Owl, Gentleman Ghost, and Shakespeare’s Wolf)
- 7 Limited Edition Box Sets that feature a laser engraving of the Gentleman Ghost

I’m very amped up for this year’s Haunted Collection Series 2, it’s been a year of anticipation and waiting since the last Haunted Collection launched.
This year I stepped it up in a few ways that I’m sure you’ll enjoy. I can’t give away the full details yet, but it’s going to be an awesome release with some great limited edition items that you won’t want to miss. I’ve been posting snippets of this design for a while now and am excited to say that it will be available very soon in the Seventh.Ink Store.
This design stems from a love of two great things: Star Wars and beer. These two things are great as individual items, but when they are combined they become something even greater.

Just got the new For Honor and Glory hats in and they’re looking awesome! These should be available in early January and are on military hats and beanies.

A New Look For Seventh.Ink
If you tried to visit the Seventh.Ink website over the past few days you would have noticed that it was down for maintenance. I’ve been working on redesigning the site for quite some time and this week turned out to be perfect so I went in for it at full ramming speed.
At a quick glance, you can see that this isn’t a full restructure of the site, but more of a facelift. The old design wasn’t fitting the brand anymore so I put a lot of time into rethinking where I want Seventh.Ink to go. Thanks to fan feedback I was able to make some of those tougher decisions with a little more ease, so thanks to those who participated in my Facebook polls.
The most noticeable difference is the color scheme. I chose to rock a blue color scheme and I’m hoping that in the future I will have more time to put together a nifty little way for each user to customize the color scheme of the site to their liking. That might be quite a ways off, but it’s in the list of possibilities.
Next up is the addition of a landing page that will have news and Featured Products for you to enjoy. This will be changing I’m sure, but for now I think it’s pretty rockin’.
One thing that I’m really excited about is the new stock levels system on each product page. Now you can get an idea of just how close a shirt is to going out of stock so you can order them before they’re gone. This will be especially handy for those elusive Limited Edition tees.
I’ve also added various social media buttons to each product page so you can share your favorite items with your friends. There is also a Facebook “Like” button at the bottom of every page (except the blog..) that will tally how many people “Like” the site in general. Hit it up if you haven’t yet, we need those Likes!
Lastly, there is an all new About Page that details the story behind Seventh.Ink quite a bit more than it ever has before. Many people don’t know that Seventh.Ink is actually just run by one person and is not a group of people in an office building somewhere. Nope, just a one man army here by the name of Matt Johnson.
